Nico Nowlin is a freelance photographer operating out of the Washington DC area. His work is raw and emotive, uncomfortable at times, yet beautiful. He was born in Silver Spring, Maryland but spent his formative years in `Aiea, Hawai’i with his filipino family.

In early college, he developed his interest in photography while looking at old, family archive books. He was fascinated with the ability to materialize the fleeting moment.

Also a I.T. professional, he graduated with a BS in Computer Technology from Bowie State University in 2022.

His photographs explore the diversity of human conditions and environments; how people interact with their surroundings and with each other. Nicholas’s mission is people oriented; he hopes to uplift individuals and their communities through photography.
